Script Trainee

Script Trainees are in the beginner or training phase to become Script Continuities, primarily focusing on learning the fundamentals of documenting essential information for production and post-production. They are also beginning to develop solid skills in securing and documenting everything that has to do with continuity. Script Trainees participate exclusively for educational purposes and under the guidance of an experienced Script Continuity/Script Supervisor in a production to help generate qualified newcomers for the profession.

Advanced Script Trainees may be able to independently handle drones, splinter units, and second units, provided that the continuity aspect is minimal. The assessment of whether a Script Trainee is capable of this is the responsibility of the designated Script Continuity/Script Supervisor.

The role of Script Trainee is considered a profession for the future, linked to proper mandatory social security compensation.

Participation in the preparation period under the respective Script Continuity/Script Supervisor is obligatory.
